Massage Therapy

Soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilization are used to promote well-being by increasing circulation, decreasing inflammation, and activating the parasympathetic (rest & relax) nervous system so the body can activate it’s own healing potential.

Therapeutic Massage

Massage therapy with the intention of relieving specific complaints, whether from an acute or chronic injury. Goals for your appointment, pressure, and preferred areas worked on will be discussed before your session to create a treatment plan to suit your unique needs.

Cupping & MediCupping

MediCupping (shown) uses a machine in an updated version of the ancient technique of cupping (or vacuum) therapy. Massage Cupping uses silicone cups to achieve the same effect. The suctioning of tissues allows for space to be created in dehydrated and restricted areas, renewing circulation, increasing hydration, encouraging lymph flow, and clearing the body of stagnant cellular debris.

Reflexology

A therapeutic practice within the field of massage therapy that focuses on applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears, known as reflex zones or points. These reflex zones are believed to correspond to various organs and systems within the body. Reflexology aims to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support overall well-being by

stimulating these reflex points and encouraging the body's natural healing processes.

Ashiatsu

Ashiatsu translates to “foot pressure” in Japanese and is a massage using a therapist's feet rather than hands. It allows for pressure to be applied over a larger surface area, simultaneously lengthening and broadening tissues with gliding and compressive strokes.

Prenatal Massage

For relief of pregnancy discomfort, stress reduction for the mother, and promotion of general wellbeing. Both pregnancy cushion (prone) and side-lying position are offered once the expectant mother is no longer able to lie on her belly. Certain aromatherapy, hot stones, and deep pressure on legs are all contraindicated.

Reiki

A gentle, yet powerful, Japanese energy healing technique where the therapist channels universal healing energy into the client. This happens through hovering hands, or placing a light touch, over the client’s energy field.

While Reiki acknowledges, and calls on, a higher power than us, it is NOT a religion, and is without dogma; therefore, it is compatible with all spiritualities.  Reiki can be likened to an energy field clean up, just as bodywork cleans up restrictions and stagnation in the physical body.

Many express confusion with this explanation, not because they are unfamiliar with the concept of an unseen “life force,” but rather because the mechanics of how it can help seems vague.  For those who have experienced Reiki, there is a level of understanding in terms of what you feel during, and long after, you receive this energy work.  Reiki is very subjective in how it feels and varies from client to client, and even session to session:  reported experiences include a deep warmth, a cooling sensation, waves of energy vibrating through the body, or the feeling of a weight being lifted from your being.

The benefits of Reiki are numerous. The deep state of relaxation and peace it puts people in is incredibly effective at reducing stress and promoting overall health.  It can help people sleep better, go through difficult life changes with greater ease, and improve overall quality of life.

Lymphatic Drainage

A specialized technique used to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the natural drainage of lymph, a fluid that carries waste products away from the tissues and back toward the heart. This therapeutic massage is gentle and rhythmic, focusing on specific pathways of the lymphatic vessels located just below the skin's surface.

The primary goal of lymphatic drainage massage is to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid through the lymph nodes and channels, facilitating the removal of toxins, excess fluid, and cellular waste. The technique uses light, repetitive strokes, often in a circular or pumping motion, following the natural flow of the lymphatic system. This technique aids in reducing swelling, promoting immune system function, and enhancing overall well-being.

The benefits of lymphatic drainage massage include:

Reduced Swelling: By promoting the flow of lymphatic fluid, this massage technique helps to alleviate edema and reduce swelling in various parts of the body.

Detoxification: The massage stimulates the removal of waste products and toxins from the body, aiding in the detoxification process.

Immune System Support: Improved lymphatic circulation enhances the function of the immune system, helping the body defend against infections and illnesses.

Post-Surgical Healing: Lymphatic drainage massage is often recommended as part of the recovery process for individuals who have undergone surgery, particularly procedures involving lymph node removal.

Relaxation and Stress Reduction: While the massage is gentle, it can still induce a deep sense of relaxation, promoting overall stress reduction and a sense of well-being.

Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique

QHHT is a healing modality developed by Dolores Cannon over her 45+ year career of past life regression hypnotherapy. In a session the client is guided into the theta brain wave state- a level most hypnotherapists do not work at, due to the “strange” things that can happen at this level, such as reliving a past or future life. While this sounds mysterious, this is completely natural- your body enters the theta state every day, right before you fall asleep, and right before you awake.

The belief system surrounding this process is that your Higher Self/Over Soul/Subconscious/Christ Conscious (whatever you feel resonates with you) will take you to the most appropriate place and time for you to achieve the healing you require. This may be a past, future, or simultaneous lifetime; you may find yourself to be a human, animal, energy, or object. It’s all welcome, and while strange to our conscious mind, will make more sense as the session progresses.

After experiencing QHHT, clients have reported deep emotional healing, instantaneous relief of physical symptoms and discomfort, and clear answers to any questions they may have about their life, relationships, and purpose. This is all done by the client going deep into their own knowing and Higher Self! The practitioner’s job to simply facilitate your self-hypnosis and healing through guided visualizations and questions during the trance, while recording the session so you can listen back and learn from your experience as it applies to your future as well as your past.
